Is that it? Why yes, yes it it.

Tonight we we flipping through channels, and found "Some Like It Hot" was on. It's about two men who are running away from some mobsters, and decide to dress like girls and join a girl's band. Well, it all goes along, and it's hilarious, but at the same time, I think it should just be called, "Some like it AWKWARD."

Does it bug anyone else that in commercials, they always throw the whole strawberry stem and all into the chocolate? It drives me crazy. Who wants to bite into a luscious chocolaty strawberry and get stem in their mouth. You might as well just give them the chocolate covered stem, cause that's all they're gonna remember!

I get most of my blog ideas in the shower. I guess that's why I take long showers. Oh wait, no there's something else, I can't quite put my finger on it. Oh yeah, I have OCD about germs. That's it, I guess I don't think about it enough to remember. YEAH RIGHT!
I was thinking the other day about why they called it "gum". This is my theory: It started out as a Halloween candy, making kids think they were chewing gums. That's just gross, but as time went on, people forgot what they were supposed to be chewing because of the delectable new flavors. So the candy people wanted to bring back the Halloween feel to gum and that's why we have nasty gummy worms and junk. Wait, that doesn't make sense.
Does anyone else think that Storm and Jean Grey would be upset that they are called X-men? I don't either. Anyway, I was thinking that if I had a power, it would be Jean Greys, or Kitty Pride's. Or maybe Wolverine. Or maybe Storm. Or maybe the ice or fire guy's. Or maybe like the blue guy, just not the actual blue, cause that's creepy. I don't' really know what they're all whining about, about being different and stuff. Oh boo hoo. You could crush mankind if you wanted! I guess it's a good thing I'm not an X man.
Speaking of the X men... and Demi Lovato, does anyone think she and Rogue look spectacularly similar. So, these are probably not the best pictures to compare, but just think about it. It's almost uncanny.
Speaking of the Jonas Brothers, no wait, I was talking about Demi Lovato, but you might as well be talking about Disney Channel in general. Anyway, the other night I had a dream that I was hanging out with the Jonas Brothers. It was awesome. Me and Joe were like this (Imagine my fingers crossed). Kevin was a little on the shy side, and Nick was being a primadona. I think he was just upset about being away from Selena Gomez. That's just the feeling I got, but he warmed up to me. So basically what I'm trying to say is that when their show gets aired, I'm definitely going to be the first, along with a million others, to watch it.
Speaking of... hot stuff(?) There's this toothpaste that's called "Crest Ultra Whitening". I don't suggest it to anyone. Especially someone who doesn't like open wounds in their mouth. Geesh, it should be called "Crest Ultra Burning". Yikes, it hurts. Don't worry, this isn't an actual picture of the so called "toothpaste". That would be far too offensive to put on my blog, and apparently it was for Wikipedia too.
Footloose. Need I say more? OK I will. Remember in the song when he says "Everybody Cut"? Well, after a lot of thought, I've figured it out. He means to say "Everybody cut my sandwich. Remember how the intro is super long? That can only mean that he was making a sandwich, and as I said before, a very long intro, means a very long sandwich, clearly indicating that he needed everyone to help cut the sandwich. Now, what was put on the sandwich, and whether he planned to share is still under speculation.
Or he could mean, "everybody cut a rug". Like dancing. But I think that's a little too far fetched, even for him.
Have you heard? There is going to be another footloose, or should I say remake of the original. 4 words, or 2 names, whichever you like, Zac Efron and Kenny Ortega. Now, I don't need to explain who Zac Efron is, but if you don't know, Kenny Ortega directed all three High School Musicals. If that doesn't scream "BEST MOVIE EVER!" I don't know what does.
Elizabeth thought this movie was too long. I thought it was just right. I want to learn how to ride a horse just because of this movie. I also want to marry someone who looks like Hugh Jackman, which is probably more likely than me getting the guts to get on a horse. I can't go three steps up on a ladder without going into panic mode.
You know in all of those previews and movies, where the main character looks across the street, and sees someone unexpected for a split second before the bus comes and drives past, then the person disappears? I think it would be hilarious if the bus was about to drive past, but the person disappeared before it even got there.
If real estate agents sell real estate, then who sells fake estate? I guess it would be a faketor, pronounced fake-a-tor. It sounds like some villain in a comic book. "I am Faketor! I will sell you nonexistent real estate at unreasonable prices!" He might catch on, but I wouldn't make an action figure just yet.
As Promised, my random section. I'm starting off strong with two random thoughts.
I saw this on someone else's blog and thought it was really cute. They're cupcakes. How cool is that? I'll tell you, very.
This is Edwards car. Did it bug anyone else that in the movie he had some wimpy hatchback? I mean come on, that car should belong to a Barbie Girl, not a freakishly cool vampire.

I Scream, You Scream.

Nintendo DS.

I really want a Nintendo DS. A pink one. And I would get Mario Kart first. Oh, that would be so cool.

I Scream.

Know what would be hilarious? If instead of asking for ice cream, you just started screaming bloody murder. Then after the other people in the room had practically wet their pants with fear, you just say that you thought that it was easier than asking someone to get you ice cream. Now that would be funny.

Hallmark Christmas Movies.

Have you noticed that you could basically put any word behind the word "Christmas" and it's a Hallmark movie? "The Christmas Choir", "The Christmas Card", "The Christmas Wish", The Christmas Teapot". OK, I'll admit, that last one I made up. Have you also noticed that they all have a very close plot line? I really think that the same person writes all of the scripts.

Injustice.

My children will not watch "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". The other reindeer are so petty and mean. Even his father is ashamed of him. Then there's Santa, who is just a disgrace. It's one thing to be mean and then to apologize, but they didn't even do that, they just figured that they needed him and then expected him to comply. Well boo on that. I mean come on, if I was Rudolph, I would have just let Christmas be cancelled, and let them know how it feels. All of them are jerks. I hate them all.

Old, crappy movie.

When I was in the hospital I had a TV in my room, and after I had the IV stuck into my hand, I was able to get the full effect of the 1950's sci-fi movie I was watching. Nothing else was on, believe me, or I would have changed it. It was black and white, and about a spaceman who came to earth in his paper-plate space-ship. It was thoroughly silly. When he came out of his ship the first time he vaporized the guards with his non-existent eyes.

Then, when he was carrying the girl, you could actually see the thick black chords holding her up. They didn't even try to disguise them. It was like this:

Car and Shoes:

Have you seen that car commercial where the lady is just driving along and the shoes start falling from the sky? Does it bug anyone else that she’s grabbing a bunch of shoes that don’t match? I mean, unless you have a bunch of crappy craft projects that you have plans for I don’t get what there was to get excited about. But hey, it would make a good story to tell your insurance agent when your trying to get the money to get the dents and scratches buffed out of your hood.

Heaven.

I think Heaven would be just like Disneyland. If it was heaven though, there wouldn't be any lines and the food wouldn't add up to the price of a television set. Maybe just a stereo. I don't want to say it would be free because that's just too unrealistic.

Be careful what you blog for.

Remember when I wrote about never getting sick unless it was a holiday? Yeah, add Thanksgiving and Christmas to my list. Geesh, I think this blog is cursed. I've been sick in some form or another since I wrote that, and let me tell you, it's not pleasant when you've got big plans. BIG PLANS. OK, maybe just little plans, but you catch my drift.

Random Stuff.

And finally, I don't usually make New Years Resolutions, but I am making one this year. I've decided to include a new segment in my blog called "Random Stuff". I think it would be a refreshing new twist on my current blog, which is so relevant.

Update. As of... now.

Mobile. Bond-Mobile.

I was thinking today, wouldn’t it be hilarious if James Bond all of the sudden came out of character in this next movie, and yelled out “To the Bond-Mobile!” Then there would be some kind of spinning cartoon head before it flashes to the next scene. Ah man. That would be awesome.
Sick.

Mom and Dad have been sick this weekend. How come they get all the luck? I am constantly wishing I was sick enough to stay in bed, and what do I get? Dumb sore throats that leave me completely capable of doing what I need to do, but with an uncomfortable scratch in my throat. Then when I do get sick it’s usually stomach flu, and it’s ALWAYS on a weekend, when there’s a holiday or other major event. Believe me, I have a list.

Halloween X 2 (or more)
Christmas X 2 (or more)
Thanksgiving
Wedding
New Years
Sleepovers (More than once)
Friends already over (many times)
Visiting someone (lots)
Someone visiting us (HA!)
The day Harry Potter 4 came out
My Birthday (countless)

I’m sure there are more, I just can’t think of any at the moment.

Emotional.

Why is everything more emotional with music? It can be something completely stupid or pointless and it still almost brings on tears. Observe:
I was looking at the picture on my ipod. I didn’t put them on there, they just go on when I plug it in, so they are all old blog pictures I have used. (There are 110, p.s. and that’s not counting the one’s on the other computer or the deleted ones. See what I do for my reader…s?) Anyway, I found out that you can put the pictures to a slide show and change the music and transitions and all that. So, that was cool. It was set on this old playlist that Elizabeth made, so I started watching it. As I watched photos of Extra gum, Mexican Michael Welch, the silver oven, cartoon cats and spiders, my “buy 2” sign and cinnamon buns slide by, I actually started to get emotional. I thought maybe I have a reason to. After all, I really love writing on my blog, and it’s been kind of a record of the silly things in life. Then I thought, “That’s pathetic Catherine.”

Not busy.

I keep on trying to come up with reasons of why I haven’t been writing on my blog all that much. I couldn’t figure it out. I wasn’t all that busy. Then I realized, it was because I didn’t have all the silly things to write about. I don’t do all that much, so I don’t have anything to write about. I guess I’ll just have to wing it… because I usually take so much time to plan this out. Actually I do. Huh.

Pool.

I like pool. I like pools. Actually, I like ools. Anyway, there is a pool table at the institute. Me and Kammie, and our friend Garrett play after class sometimes. I’m terrible. Unfortunately, gone are the days of me being called a “pool shark” because of a few lucky shots at a family reunion. Though I’d rather be called an “ool shark” (he he) anyway, I wish I still knew how to get a stinking ball into a pocket! I can’t get any in. Kammie is either very good or very luck when it comes to pool. I wish I could claim she was just really lucky, but that would sound petty. And you might think I’m lying just because I can’t play. That would be true. Though, some of those shots could not possibly have been planned. Usually Garrett gets second. I’m always last. Boo.
Epilogue: Yesterday I won twice! They took a picture because they couldn't believe it. I'll have to get it from Garrett.

Bear Arms

I saw this bumper sticker the other day that said something like “Protect our right to bear arms.” At first I thought it was about weapons. Then I saw it clearly. They mean BEAR arms. You know bear claws? Like the doughnut? This was just a maple bar and bear claw put together. That’s a bear arm. I guess this guy just really liked doughnuts.

Sorry about the wait. I know how it feels to have to wait forever for a website to update. This picture is of Dante's Divine Comedy, if you catch my drift.

Speaking of websites, I just wanted to let everyone know how much I truly despise facebook. I never get any posts or emails, and when I do, it's like "You've been invited" to something stupid. But, I guess I'll survive. Don't worry, I'm not talking about any of you, don't get all worried.

I thought this painting was pretty. I was actually looking for "Twilight" like the books, but this will do. Anyway, I found out that my sisters are planning on having a twilight party without me. Excuse me for wondering, but I thought that was ix-nayed when the movie release date was moved. Fine, I'll have a party by myself. With myself.

Speaking of movies, I went to Kammie's house the other day and watched the Hulk. It was just as good as the first time. I've decided to call the hulk the "Green Eyed Man." Get it? Like that one song, except not. I'm so clever.

Two nights ago, I woke up when I heard a clatter... well I don't think you would call it a clatter, it was more like Velcro coming undone, and a thump of a bunch of socks, because that's exactly what it was. My sock holder thing that was in my closet was so chuck full of socks, that it finally came down. I wonder why things like that always happen when you're asleep. Anyway, I decided I needed to get rid of some of my socks. There was just one problem, and those who know me would understand, I have a hard time letting go of things. In fact, I remember where most of the socks came from. Anyway, I decided that I needed to look on the Internet for some good ideas to make sock crafts. It could be fun. I don't know how I'll feel about cutting up socks or gluing stuff to them though. The truth is that I probably won't use them for anything anyway. Oh well.

The other night I went to a Priest and Laurel activity. I'll be the first to admit that I am no longer a laurel. OK, that doesn't make sense. The point is, that I wasn't actually supposed to be there, I just went to set up. But then there were only like 10 kids who showed up, and I knew all of them really well, plus the fact that when I tried to leave, they all started crying. Ha ha, just kidding, about the crying anyway. But I stayed and it was fun. It was Harry Potter themed, so needless to say, the team I was on crushed everyone else in the trivia competition. Me and these two other kids on my team had all read the books... a lot. Anyway, I don't know if it was fair that we were on the same team, but it was fun. I felt like a huge dork though, because I actually did know a lot of the answers. Like "What was the first password they used in the first book to get into the common room?" Do you know?

All my Halloween dreams have been crushed. I REALLY wanted to do something for Halloween because I wanted to be a cowgirl, but there's nothing to do. So I told mom we should go to Provo, but she has meetings on Friday. We'd never make it in time.

I got to spend $500 on candy the other day. But look at this picture. Are they trying to poison kids or something? There are three mismatched pieces of candy in this picture. Can you find them? It shouldn't be that hard because I circled them, so your time's up. Anyway, they don't belong.

I have to return two books to the library today. I don't like checking them out though anymore. I have a fine. Over a dollar. I can't believe it. Do they track you down if you leave the state?

The other day while picking out some pumpkins at the grocery store. Actually it was after I picked them out and payed for them, I saw a big suburban that said "Was Me Please", written in the dust. First I thought "real original" then I realized there was no h on the end of was. So I came to the conclusion that they were trying to say "Waste me please", referencing the fact that they no longer liked their car, and wanted someone to ram into it, in turn getting insurance money, and putting toward a new car. They couldn't actually write "waste" because if they did, the insurance company would see and charge the owner of the parked car for the accident. I found out their secret though. It's a good thing for them that I'm not a cop.
As promised... or not, I went to see High School Musical 3 in theaters on the opening day. I know, some may thinks it's cheesy, but I don't care. I thought it was the best thing since... High School Musical 1! And no, I'm not being sarcastic, I really did love both of them. Actually all of them. In fact, I bought the soundtrack on the way home from the movie. I would have gotten it earlier, but I have this thing, where i don't want to get it until I see the movie, so nothing gives away anything. I have all the soundtracks now, plus it gave me a free ringtone. I know, right? I must admit, this 3rd movie was the best. Talk about every girls dream.

And while I'm on the subject of Zac Efron, I just wanted to post this website:

http://www.17againmovie.com/

Talk about funny. And just to let you know, I was super excited to see this movie BEFORE this hilarious trailer. I saw a "making of" a long time ago and was excited, now I'm even more so. Go watch this. You won't be disappointed.

"I'm a princess, and princesses don't get sick."

I'm sick. I don't like being sick. It's... unpleasant. So anyway, I didn't go to work today. I'm way too awake though. I slept in until 10, then took a 3 hour nap this afternoon, so I decided that I'd catch up on my blogging.

I got a coupon the other day for bath and body works stuff. So I went in and realized the coupon wasn't good until the next day. I bought some anyway. They were on sale... and I'm weak. I got moonlight path for mom because she lost hers, then wild honeysuckle for me. Mom then told me she had found hers earlier in the week and felt guilty taking it, so she gave it to me. She's so nice. I am pretty devastated though because I found out that you can't buy two of my favorite fragrances even online. Puh huh. There are a bunch of others though, plus when I bought the two the other day they gave me ANOTHER coupon. I LOVE coupons. He he he.

Speaking of work, the other day I was on hold with Qwest... again, and they have this recording that goes something like this: "We know your time is valuable and we thank you for holding. A representative will be with you as quickly as possible." What I don't think they realize is that something like that just makes me angry. What it sounds like to me is: "We know we're wasting your time, but we're not going to go any faster, just to make you angry."

Then, I was on the phone with HP later... again. After spending over an hour with them earlier figuring out the fax machine, and them putting in an order for a "print head", it started working fine. So I called again, with the order number in hand to cancel the order. It took 20 minutes. And then, guess what came in the mail the other day. AN UN-NEEDED PRINT HEAD. Twenty minutes of my life...

We were watching "Designed to Sell" tonight. One of my least favorite shows, p.s., and at the end they show you how they spent the money. So, the host asked the designer to "break it down". Well, you may not think this was funny, but I instantly thought of the designer starting to break dance. I started laughing.

I was thinking of the logo for State Farm the other day. "Like a good neighbor, state farm is there." I thought, for me at least, a good neighbor would leave me alone. Then I thought of people like Amy and Kathy, and thought again.

Oh my good gravy. 14 days left. I am so excited, though it's split with Twilight (tee hee hee) which is coming out next month. But I must say, Zac Efron is super cool. And really good looking. I hate to say cute, or hot. I don't know why. It's like when you say cute, it's a kid, or when you say hot it reminds me of saying "Hhhhhot." If that's makes sense.

I have been reading a lot lately. And I especially like this author named Shannon Hale. I've read four of her books and am starting a fifth. I am kind of sad though, because this is the last novel, besides children's novels of hers I haven't read yet. Anyway, I went on her website and found out that she's Mormon. I was so excited that I ran and told mom. Anyway, I am now asking my 3-4 readers a favor. If you have any suggestions for books, I'd much appreciate it. I am running out of new books to read.
