I'm sick. I don't like being sick. It's... unpleasant. So anyway, I didn't go to work today. I'm way too awake though. I slept in until 10, then took a 3 hour nap this afternoon, so I decided that I'd catch up on my blogging.
I got a coupon the other day for bath and body works stuff. So I went in and realized the coupon wasn't good until the next day. I bought some anyway. They were on sale... and I'm weak. I got moonlight path for mom because she lost hers, then wild honeysuckle for me. Mom then told me she had found hers earlier in the week and felt guilty taking it, so she gave it to me. She's so nice. I am pretty devastated though because I found out that you can't buy two of my favorite fragrances even online. Puh huh. There are a bunch of others though, plus when I bought the two the other day they gave me ANOTHER coupon. I LOVE coupons. He he he.
Speaking of work, the other day I was on hold with Qwest... again, and they have this recording that goes something like this: "We know your time is valuable and we thank you for holding. A representative will be with you as quickly as possible." What I don't think they realize is that something like that just makes me angry. What it sounds like to me is: "We know we're wasting your time, but we're not going to go any faster, just to make you angry."
We were watching "Designed to Sell" tonight. One of my least favorite shows, p.s., and at the end they show you how they spent the money. So, the host asked the designer to "break it down". Well, you may not think this was funny, but I instantly thought of the designer starting to break dance. I started laughing.
I was thinking of the logo for State Farm the other day. "Like a good neighbor, state farm is there." I thought, for me at least, a good neighbor would leave me alone. Then I thought of people like Amy and Kathy, and thought again.
Oh my good gravy. 14 days left. I am so excited, though it's split with Twilight (tee hee hee) which is coming out next month. But I must say, Zac Efron is super cool. And really good looking. I hate to say cute, or hot. I don't know why. It's like when you say cute, it's a kid, or when you say hot it reminds me of saying "Hhhhhot." If that's makes sense.
I have been reading a lot lately. And I especially like this author named Shannon Hale. I've read four of her books and am starting a fifth. I am kind of sad though, because this is the last novel, besides children's novels of hers I haven't read yet. Anyway, I went on her website and found out that she's Mormon. I was so excited that I ran and told mom. Anyway, I am now asking my 3-4 readers a favor. If you have any suggestions for books, I'd much appreciate it. I am running out of new books to read.

Then, I was on the phone with HP later... again. After spending over an hour with them earlier figuring out the fax machine, and them putting in an order for a "print head", it started working fine. So I called again, with the order number in hand to cancel the order. It took 20 minutes. And then, guess what came in the mail the other day. AN UN-NEEDED PRINT HEAD. Twenty minutes of my life...

"On Liberty" by John Stuart Mill. haha, j/k, although you would sound really smart in any conversation regarding liberty, government, ethics, etc.
"Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis
"Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen
I don't read very much...
Anything by Gerald Lund or Dick Francis, love them! Thanks for the shout out for being good neighbors....am I cool enough to say "shout out"...oh well.
Two of my favorite books are "Tuesday's with Morrie" if you are in for a deep by epiphany kind of book. And "The Blue Castle" By L.M. Montgomery (the lady who wrote Anne of Green Gables) if you are in for a good love story, but not too sappy. I love reading your blog. I laugh out loud EVERYTIME! It's funny because everytime you post something new, whoever sees it first out of Elizabeth, Kathy, Amy, Ben or I all call or tell everyone else so they can go look at it ASAP. we got a little "Catherine's blog network" going on here.
You need to quit your job so you have more time to blog...that is all.
